Albert Square, Manchester 1st Feb 2016
Last week the ALL INN project visited the IIC show at Manchester Central. The IIC show is a consumer and trade event actively promoting independence, inclusion and choice for people of mixed ability. This proved an excellent opportunity to find out about some of the innovative products coming to market.
It was great to see so many organisations there, including Fast-Tec, Rompa , Kuradocs, Myhomehelper and Embryonyx. The event was an excellent chance to discuss how we can work together in the future to share and drive innovation. There were some interesting talks on assistive technology, including one on the various software and adaptations on the market from Aidis, and an inspirational presentation from Stairsteady Ltd on turning a good idea into a multinational business.
As well as all those networking and learning opportunities, there was some fabulous wheelchair dancing and mixed ability sports to enjoy. All in all an enjoyable day, leading to some fruitful partnerships and positive outcomes for everyone involved!
