Leeds Beckett University Product Design students in the ALL warehouse

Students from the Product Design course at Leeds Beckett University recently visited Assisted Living Leeds. The visit was to set the context for their next project on designing products for assisted living, by giving a flavour of existing independent living products and services, and to help generate more ideas.

After the building was flooded over Christmas 2015 and services had to move out, staff from Leeds City Council have worked hard to get moved back in and continue services as usual. Whilst it’s not quite back to its former glory yet, it’s functional. The students were able to see the scope of the service, and ask questions of staff. The trip round the equipment store showed the scale of the service, and hopefully will inspire some future innovations that will change lives for the better!
