Back in December 2018 ALL INN held a session for stroke survivors to test out an exciting innovation using remote supervision for improved rehabilitation outcomes. Since then, the technology has developed further so Aglaea returned for another session this week to test out this latest iteration.

ALL INN is back!
There’s been a short hiatus but ALL INN is back and more exciting than ever!

consultation with a view in Leeds!
The photo above shows the most recent user requirements session in action, in early April. It was commissioned by start-up Wellbones to design and have input into their new app for people with or at risk of osteoporosis, and was the first of several as they will return with further iterations of their idea to get valuable feedback and direction from the very audience they are aiming to reach.
Another great session!

Earlier in August the ALL INN project organised a session for Tunstall, a provider of pioneering technology-enabled care technology and solutions.
Assistive Technologies for Dementia Workshop
Last week ALL INN supported an event to kick off an exciting process to look at innovative ways to identify and meet unmet clinical needs for dementia.
The event was part of the HEFCE Medical Technologies Innovation Catalyst Project, which aims to turn the best academic research into medical technologies that change society for the better.
Doability Door Handle Design Day
A productive session leading to two new designs being investigated for potential production took place on 4th May 2016. The ALL INN project hosted Doability, a Leeds based independent living aids retailer and manufacturer, in a pop-up event at Leeds Beckett University.
The purpose of the session was to develop a prototype door handle opener for people with reduced grip, as those currently on the market don’t always fit the bill. We brought people together from a variety of backgrounds, including people with arthritis or reduced grip, Occupational Therapists (OTs) from Assisted Living Leeds and students, some working on placement with Doability and using computer aided design (CAD) skills, and some from Leeds Beckett’s Product Design course.
A busy week for the ALL INN project!

A demonstration of the high tech facilities at the Clinical Skills Suite
This week has been all go for the ALL INN project. The Naidex conference in Birmingham on Tuesday was an opportunity to meet organisations with innovative independent living and assistive technology products and services. This should lead to some exciting opportunities and projects, watch this space for more information!
