It can detect minute changes that may not be noticeable visually and can support clinicians in prescribing the best exercises. The solution also encourages stroke survivors to complete all of the required exercises even without a clinician present.

Active and Healthy Ageing – EU project

Activage project managers in Darmstadt

ALL INN attended the second plenary meeting for the Activage project in Darmstadt, Germany, last week. The meeting was a chance to bring together partners from the nine deployment sites to continue work on the implementation phase of the project.

Follow this link for a guest blog from Jorge Posadas, the Project Manager in Madrid, for a wider context on what the project is trying to  achieve. Watch this space for further information on exactly what the project will bring to Leeds later in the summer.

Exciting projects and busy weeks…

It’s been a busy few months for the ALL INN project, here’s the highlights!

Our latest session was in February with a security company looking to apply their technological expertise to branch out into health and care products. They engaged ALL INN for a needs analysis session with people who fit the profile of the customers they hope to attract. This will be the first of a series of sessions as they bring the product (or design) back at various stages to get more valuable input from real people. Watch this space for further information.

As well as sessions some longer term projects are underway looking at assistive technology, but always with a focus on the person using the technology and how it will best suit them. An exciting project is Activage, an EU Horizon 2020 project looking at wearables and home sensors for over-65s across Leeds, with IoT-enabled devices interconnecting people and place in an exciting new way. The technology provider for this project is Samsung and we are currently in the design phase. This is an ambitious and important project, stay tuned for updates!

We’ve got lots of plans for the year ahead, starting this week with a session for a company who work with security solutions but are looking to move into gadgets to help support people with dementia. The session will give them access to people who live with dementia and their carers, and professionals who work closely with people with dementia and determine what features their solution will need to consider.
